County Camp News
New Camp Location for 2024!

Blue Mountain Camp (Olivet Boys and Girls Club)
We invite you for our Camp Coronation at 2 PM this year, Sunday, May 19, 2024. We will be outside under a pavilion for the program.
Knoebel’s Day
Thursday, June 11
Pavilion H
Lunch at 11:15 AM and Dinner at 4:30 PM
Park open: 12-8
Food sign-up: Will be posted on the Berks Junior Facebook Page- Knoebel’s event invite. Reach out to Derek or Barb Schroeder if you are not able to access the link on the Facebook group once posted.

Line Dancing Fundraiser
Thank you to all those that came out to support our first line dancing fundraiser. Due to popular demand, we have tentatively scheduled our next line dance on Saturday, November 2. More details to come!

2024 Junior Attendance Contest
In order to qualify, a junior member must participate in at least 3 junior events (i.e. sleepover, camp, swim party, bowling), the line dancing fundraiser, and one contest on the State level.
2024 activities:
• February 9-10 – Sleepover at Fleetwood
• March 2 – March Pomona meeting at Marion – no scheduled junior activity
• March 16 – Line Dancing Fundraiser at Virginville
• May 17-19 – County Camp at Blue Mountain Camp
• June 1 – June Pomona meeting at Ontelaunee – no scheduled junior activity
• June 11 – Knoebel’s Day
• June 28-30 – State Youth Camp at Camp Sylvan Hills, 13-14-year-olds invited
• June 30-July 6 – State Junior Camp at Camp Sylvan Hills
• July 13 – Swim Party at Shoemakersville Pool, 6-9 PM
• September 7 – September Pomona meeting at Virginville, activity TBD
• September 22 – Mini Golf at Kauffman’s, 4 PM
• November 2 – Line Dancing Fundraiser at Virginville
• December 7 – Junior Friendsgiving Holiday Party
• December 14 – December Pomona meeting at Fleetwood, activity TBD
Junior Volunteers over 18: Clearances must be submitted to the state in order to support at junior events, including camp!
